Aloha *|FNAME|*,
HFUU Wai'anae Chapter WILL be holding its monthly Gathering this Labor Day!

What an amazing turn out we had for our 1 Year Anniversary Party! The Wai'anae Chapter is extremely grateful to all of you who showed up or shared our event! Over 100 people came out to celebrate community, food, and those of us who are invested in this food movement!

We'd like to honor the immediate Wai'anae area this month & host two vital members of our community, Aunty Twinkle Borge and James Pakele. Both serving Pu'u'honua, the remarkable Wai'anae Boat Harbor Homeless Camp. Aunty Twinkle is the leader of this inspirational community, and we are grateful for her presence this September. Learn more about Pu'u'honua safe zones.

Updates & Opportunities
We are right on around the corner from our annual state convention happening on October 6th-8th, here in Wai'anae, O'ahu! This three-day event will include opportunities to learn about regenerative agriculture, from local and international experts, including presentations and hands-on workshops.

This is a historic moment for Hawai'i Farmers Union United, as it has been eleven years since a chapter has become chartered by the National Farmers Union. We will be receiving a charter from the National Farmers Union during this event! We ask that you support this forward momentum in any way that you can—either by attending the convention, sponsoring our educational workshops, or advocating HFUU's mission of supporting prosperous agricultural communities across Hawai'i.

The entire weekend member price, before Sept. 18th, is just $140 (including food).
Login to your HFUUHI.org account to update your membership and to register.
If you have any inquiries or opportunities surrounding sponsorship for the Hawai'i Farmers' Union United annual Convention, please contact HFUU President, Vince Mina. If you need help accessing your HFUUHI.org account, contact Keith Ranney @ hfuu@hfuuhi.org.
Don't Forget
Right in the middle of the HFUU 7th Annual Convention is the 5th Annual Kahumana Farm Festival, taking place Saturday, October 7th! Kahumana Farm is furthering the State’s goals for food security through regenerative organic agriculture. youth education programs, rehabilitation services for those in need and stewardship of our 'Aina. Growing delicious pono food for our islands is at the center of it all! Ask about becoming a Volunteer or official Sponsor!
