1 year of connection & service!


It's been an outstanding year, filled with so many community members & partners, coming together for the greater good of all things FOOD! In honor of the support we have received - we are hosting a 1 Year Anniversary Potluck Gathering & we would love to see you there!
  • 6:30pm: Welcome & Updates from Wai'anae Chapter President, Christian Zuckerman & the HFUU Wai'anae Chapter hui
  • 6:45pm-7:00pm: Blessing of food - Locavore Potluck! (Please bring a dish to pass - if can not - we humbly ask that you provide a donation for the love & food provided)
  • 7:00pm-7:30pm: Uncle Vince Dodge - Founder of Wai'anae Gold, also known as "The 'Aina Bar" (waianaegold.com) - will be offering a demonstration & celebration of the gift that is Kiawe - a nutritious staple food that is naturally sweet, gluten-free & diabetic friendly. Never failing to provide food for thought, he will also touch on this project as a community-based economic endeavor that continues to nurture & grow our ‘aina connection through the cultivation, gathering & production of REAL FOOD!
  • 7:30pm-7:50pm: Joe Nolan worm master at Green Rows Farm will be setting up for a simple vermicasting demonstration - sharing with us the importance of healthy systems & how to give the best care to our worms!
  • 7:50pm-8:00pm: Q&A with Department of Agriculture Chairperson - Scott Enright
  • 8:00pm: CONNECTION TIME!
    • *Power-house - Michelle Gorham - West O'ahu - Soil & Water Conservation Districts (SWCDs) Manager of Partnership & Education - will be here to share her love (& talent) for lei po'o
