Due to Hurricane Douglas, we are RESCHEDULING our Seed Exchange.
Our first Haleakala Chapter Meeting in a long time will be RESCHEDULED to be held IN PERSON, this Sunday, AUGUST 2, 1-4 PM at Oskie Rice Arena.
Come enjoy live music with former Haleakala Board Director, Pat Simmons Jr. and David Fisher. We will also have activities for the whole family, including Lei Po'o making and Succulent Arranging.
CHTAR will be providing a demo on a sterile soil mix farmers and gardeners alike can utilize in their practice.
We ask that members bring seeds and/or cuttings to share at our Seed Exchange this year. To reduce the spread of the Little Fire Ant, we also ask that members respect our SOIL FREE event. We will have experts from the Hawaii Department of Agriculture to speak on this subject and to provide more literature for those who are interested.
This meeting won’t be like other meetings, in that we will be congregating mostly outside, under the covered lanai at the Clubhouse. We also ask that members DO NOT BRING A POTLUCK DISH at this time. We appreciate everyone's efforts to comply with the CDC guidelines put forth from our governor.
