Our Farmers Market Committee will meet to discuss next steps in establishing a farmers market in Hana:
- Date: Thursday, July 18 at 4:00 - 6:00 p.m.
- Location: Hana Farms (2910 Hana Hwy)
Our survey resulted in overwhelming support for a farmers market in Hana, with 210 out of 216 respondents (97%) saying Yes to the question "Would you or your ‘ohana attend a farmers market in Hāna?"
Other highlights of the survey results:
• 71% would like to see a farmers market happen weekly
• Hana town (42%) or Hana Bay (27%) were the most favored locations
• Saturdays from 9-2 was the preferred the time slot for 59% of respondents
Based on the survey results, our Farmers Market Committee will discuss plans to move forward, including getting commitments from vendors, and evaluating options for frequency, timing, and location.
