We invite you to join us again on Monday, July 10th at 6:30pm to celebrate food, farming, and the power of collective action. We meet on the second Monday of every month at 'Ai Love Nalo (in the back courtyard garden area), 41-1025 Kalanianaole Hwy, Waimanalo, HI 96795.
This month's meeting theme: CHOCOLATE!!! CACAO!!!
Tamara Buttterbaugh from Manoa Chocolate and Nat Bletter from Madre Chocolate, (two of the finest chocolate makers in the world) will join us to talk growing cacao and making chocolate in Hawaii. And to top it off, Hannah Vernon from "Home-cooked with Love " will be cooking with chocolate!!
We begin at 6:30 and kick off with our "Open Mic" forum to give Chapter members an opportunity to share any information they may have that might be of interest to other members. If you would like to make an announcement, please sign in at the desk when you come!
What to Expect:
- 6:30pm: Welcome!! Chapter Announcements & updates from Waimanalo Chapter Board
- 6:45pm-7:00pm: Blessing of food - Locavore Potluck! (Please bring dish to pass, or if short of time, there is always the option to donate!)
- 7:00pm-7:10pm: "Open Mic" announcements by members (Please sign in at desk)
- 7:10pm-7:30pm: Tamara Butterbaugh, Manoa Chocolate
- 7:30pm-7:50pm: Cooking Demo by Hannah Vernon of Home Cooked With Love
- 7:50pm-8:10pm: Nat Bletter, Madre Chocolate
- 8:10pm: Closing Remarks

BYOU - Please bring your own forks/spoons/knives/plates & cups if this is available to you! It definitely lightens our load, & keeps the amount of waste to a minimum!
PLEASE - Bring a dish to pass if you plan on partaking in any food provided. (portion for 10 or more people). Option to donate $10 if you are short on time to cook or pick something up.
