Here is the agenda for our meeting this Wednesday, November 14th at Anahola Clubhouse:
6:00pm: Pule / Potluck
6:30pm:Lisa Rhoden, Food Safety Director of the North Shore Economic Vitality Partnership on Oahu, will be discussing Food Safety training programs that NSEVP will be conducting across the state, and how the farmer on the ground can respond to the new food safety laws that will govern future sales in Hawaii.
7:15pm:Christian Hemmann of Hawaii Bee Hab, will present a program of bee management for increased honey production, that will provide an economic engine for a diversified organic farm field production strategy. This is a very unique model already implemented on Hawaii Island and will be modeled on all of the Hawaii islands at a large scale in the form of a coop..Already working in Hawaii, the model is scheduled to be rolled out nationally with a goal of 1 million organically managed hives.
