Dear Maui HFUU Chapter Members & Newsletter Subscribers:
The Huliau Food & Film Festival is a farm-to-table celebration of local agriculturefeaturing local chefs and student-produced films. Their sixth annual festival will take place at Sugar Beach Events beautiful oceanfront venue in north Kihei. The event will feature ten chef-run farm-to-table stations, and cash bar of 100% locally-produced cocktails, beer and wine. Guests will also enjoy live music, a silent auction and a food-themed student film contest.
Publishers note: This is a fantastic organization providing youth education on both environmental issues and storytelling via contemporary video production. I've personally participated in 4 of the past 5 festivals and heartily recommend attending and supporting this Maui non-profit, the passion and vision of founder and Executive Director, Malia Cahill.
