Aloha Friends & FARMily!

Join us this Saturday, March 17th for the Kamoauli Community Launch at Poka'i Bay (west area) in Wai'anae.

Experience Kamoauli, a traditional Polynesian, twin-hulled sailing wa'a kaulua (canoe). Established from and for the people and places of Wai'anae. A collective movement to preserve, share and proliferate the invaluable waiwai (wealth) of the Native Hawaiian culture on the western side of O'ahu. A social enterprise created to be a classroom at sea through a journey of knowledge, history, traditions, legends and current endeavors of the Leeward side of the island.

Dedicated to providing place-based educational experiences first and foremost for the Wai'anae community from kupuna to keiki as well as to visitors seeking immersive, authentic travel experiences providing meaningful exchanges between the traveler and the local community through the essence of practicing aloha in relationship with 'āina.

Aloha food growers of the Wai'anae Coast. University of Hawai'i at West Oahu would like to invite you to take a short survey. In this survey we ask our community of food growers, anyone involved in some form of local food production, some questions about practices related to growing food. You are helping to create a pathway for helping us to better help you:

A) get top value for your food related products
B) access more land, and
C) gain additional resources related to agricultural production/marketing/distribution.

If you have any questions about this survey, please contact Dr Christy Mello (melloc@hawaii.edu) or Saleh Azizi (azizi@hawaii.edu). Mahalo for your participation
