Hawai’i Farmers Union United, Mauna Kahalawai Chapter presents its monthly locavore potluck from 6 to 8 p.m. (doors open at 5:30 p.m.; dinner served from 6-6:45 p.m.) Thursday, March 14th at Chef’s Table at The Maui Tropical Plantation.
 
This months Featured Speaker is HFUU State Communications Director Keith Ranney, who will be speaking about HFUU's Legislative Action Initiatives. Keith began developing his media production and communications skills while a film major at Southern Methodist University. Those skills were expanded and honed at Image Grafx, a southern Oregon production agency he founded in 1989. Keith’s digital media knowledge led to a key role in the Seattle dot-com start up that became sharebuilder.com. Soon after moving to Maui 20 years ago, Keith directed his communications expertise toward the volunteer sector and the creation of artofvolunteering.com. He joined HFUU in 2015 as communications chair and now administers the member/subscriber database, manages the website at hfuuhi.org, publishes the newsletters for 13 chapters and is the point of contact at hfuu@hfuuhi.org.
This month will also be Featuring Dennis Lokmer as a guest speaker for the evening. Dennis earned a Bachelors of Science Degree, Moved to Maui in 1999, and has had 38 years of Chiropractic Practice. This year marks his 20th year playing Senior Softball.
